Toy and Tee Photoblog: FanX Convention in Salt Lake City, UT- Part 1

PHOTOBLOG
Boba Fett Cosplay

Boba Fett-inspired cosplay is just one of many cool costumes we saw at FanX.

FanX is the place to be in September if you’re a geek, a gamer, or just love pop culture! This event, which brings together fans from all walks of life, takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah, with this year being bigger and better than ever before. For those who don’t know, FanX is an annual convention for fans of science fiction, fantasy, comic books, and movies. This being our first year attending the event, we had a blast meeting some killer cosplayers and wanted to share our experiences with you via our photoblog here. Take a look!

Toy and Tee FanX Photoblog - Part 1

Anakin Skywalker cosplay holding blue lightsaber

Star Wars Anakin Skywalker holding a blue lightsaber. The lightsaber and attention to detail really complete this amazing cosplay.

Two asian characters wearing wide billed hats.

Animation fans should recognize these two as The Sisters (Karasu and Washi) from Kubo and the Two Strings. What a creepy, yet fantastic cosplay.

The Grinch

The Grinch stopped by our booth as well, sharing Christmas joy (before Thanksgiving, in true Grinch style).

Stranger Things Eleven and One.

This gruesome cosplay features Stranger Things One (aka "Vecna") with Eleven (aka "El"). This popular Netflix series' season 4 was especially awesome, so we geeked out hard when we saw these two sporting cosplay from one of our favorite scenes.

Lord of the Rings Ringwraith, Gandalf the White and Witch King cosplay

We dig it when cosplayers coordinate. Check out this cool Lord of the Rings cosplay featuring a Nazgûl Ringwraith, Gandalf The White, and the Witch-king of Angmar.

Boba Fett inspired cosplay.

And finally, we have an amazing Boba Fett/Mandalorian-inspired Star Wars cosplay. The black and red color scheme really pop, and the attention to detail is amazing.

Want to see more cosplay? Check out part 2 here. Photography by Tella Rider and Casey Hudlow.
